This project was a Tenant Improvement for a compounding pharmacy.   project that I took the role of lead architect on. The clients were expanding their business with a second location and had acquired had gotten the space. and wanted to expand their business in the city with a new location. Thehis project started with a phone call to the office.  I provided an overview our services, answering the phone one day and setting up project consultation a meetings and getting a quote sent out to them for architectural fees.  I worked with the owners to design the TI and once approved complete the construction drawings.  As the lead architect, I was responsible for coordinating with the electrical and mechanical engineers’ design, communicating with the general contractor and insuring building code compliance.  This design team that I was responsible for updating was the general contractor, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, and This project was unique as it required a clean room and coordination with the clean room advisors.

 All these parties used the floor plans and building layout that I was responsible for creatingThe owners made changes during the design which required confirmation of building codes, updating construction drawings, and coordinating the changes with the engineers and general contractor.  The final plans were submitted for permit and corrections completed for the final approval.  Upon approval of the final plans, our responsibility for construction was handed over to the general contractor.

I learned a lot from this project.  It was my first large project as a lead architect.  . This included updating and sending plans when things had changed as well as getting city corrections out to each party to update their sheets. This was the first large project that I had thewas responsibility le for initial and final design, coordination of engineering services,  and andgetting it permit approvaled by the city. I expanded my knowledge of

 the It was a big learning experience of building code relating to pharmacy compounding and the clean room requirements. I learned This to work was also my first time working with an outside engineer firm and to coordinate so scheduling, communication, and the process to updates everyone was a challenge getting done in a timely manner.  There were challenges, b But once everything was approved, and I was really excitedexcited to have the approval and pass the project onto the general contractorget the approved set back and start construction.
